Default 4.0 rear main seal

what is the torgue lbs for rear maine cap on a 4.0L and is it hard to replace the rear main seal?

Not sure the torque but that can be found easy. But to change the rear main it is no fun. Not super hard but no walk in the part either. If you are pretty good with tools you should be ok.

80 ft/lbs and it is not that bad of a job. The oil pan is real easy to pull. The tricky part is getting the upper seal to come loose and slide out. You don't want to nick the crank.

thanks I just started wheeling recently and I amlearning as I go but I do "think goodness" know my way around a tool box I have found that is the most helpful of all...LOL

yea on th 80 ftlbs. dont skimp on the gasket set. get a fel-pro. and take your time. pack the rear main seal with some grease so you dont roll the spring inside.
