im running 307 with 31s with a 4.0 and a 5 speed so by your math i would need 410s ?

I would not bother going through all the time and money of a regear with only 31s. With a 5 speed, 4.10s are good for 33s. If you were dead set on regearing for 31s, you'd want closer to 3.73s with your 5 speed

U must not be doing the arithmetic right......31 / 28 = 1.107 X 3.07 = 3.40, not 4.10. 3.73 sounds spot on.

I have an 85 with I4 and 3spd auto, I should have either 4.11 or 4.56, I was wondering if I will have problems if I go much taller with the tires. I wish I could go to the 4.0 but don't have the time or money to do the heavy mods needed to fit it in the engine bay.(Oh how I wish a 300 I6 Ford would fit in one of these lol)
