Bigger tire means more ground clearance which means you can move your front end linkages and diff out of harms way. Flex is just part of the equation and to accomplish this you can have alot of downtravel while still keeping the rig close to the ground. I'm planning on doing 3.5" lift with 33's cause a LCOG rig suits me well. If i want i'll go up to 4.5" and 35's but my last jeep was 7" on 35's and i didnt like it much, too unstable off camber which is why i rolled it and scrapped it

I personally think 33's are the perfect size for ground clearance. They are large enough to get your axles and steering components out of harms way, but not too big. I do plan to upgrade to 35's though when I do my additional 2" of lift. I do a lot of mudding, and big tires are a necessity for mudding. I also believe, if you go up, you must go out; meaning if you lift, you should also go wider to keep your stability.

i wanna go up a little more.. ive got the el cheapo 2"BB, but would you go with a full on 4.5" and pull the BB, or go 3-3.5" w/ the BB. im not heavy into offroading, mudding, crawling, or what have you. but i do enjoy exploring the old logging roads around here. ive got 235/75's but will probably not got any bigger that a 31 if i actually do end up with a lift. ultimatley, price and performance do matter, but i need to keep it on like a 500 dollarish range... my other though is just to forgo the lift in favor of rear (to start) ARB's... i know its alot, but it doesnt seem like you can get much better that ARB... and ****, if im not going over crazy terrain anyways, then a locker would potentially see more action and use than a lift... these decisions are to hard and expensive... ugh...

I have a full 4.5" kit and will be adding a BB to it for 2 more inches. (Coil spacers and shackles) It'd be smart to keep those parts around when you do the 4.5" lift.

The kit you posted should have everything you need.

At first I was going to do a 3" lift, but I would be much happier with just going with the 4.5 and I think thats all I will ever need.

I'll be getting almost the same kit but customized by a RC reseller through ebay, topguncustomz

I'll be getting the 4.5 RC kit with the t case drop, brake line relocaters, control arms and all that. But with nitro 9000 shocks, I'll be getting my own adjustable trac bar and instead of any rear AAL or full pack I'll be making myself a BP. Using the shackles if needed.

Its based off this kit, but customz
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/84-01...Q5fAccessories

not a bad kit for the price as it is

The kit will cost me $400, plus my adjustable trac bar. I'll also be getting a new rugged ridge tie rod and drag link assembly along with other needed bushing. I'll be using a Junkyard ZJ pitman arm.

Jeep should be driving better after all that shiz!

Honestly, I would personally just buy the 4.5" kit from Rough Country and sell the parts you don't use. The kit already comes with the tc drop, brake line relocation backets, and lower control arms. It's $459.95 plus shipping and an additional $25 for the NRC9000 shock upgrade. If you call Jeffrey from Rough Country at 1-800-222-7023 ext 125 to place your order and tell him your a member or Jeepforum (If you're not, register) and he will give you a 10% discount on your purchase. Buying directly from Rough Country you can take full advantage of their warranty and customer service (Which is AMAZING). Just something for you to think about.
