Default 4 lo ?

i have a 99 jeep cherokee sport and the other day i got it stuck in the driveway four hi and full time both worked but when i put it in four lo it didnt engage and it made a really fast clicking sound any ideas?

put it in four low with the vehicle off and climb under the jeep. your linkage may need a lil adjusting. when mine was doing this the linkage was actually bent and hitting a bolt, so it couldnt completely engage. i hope this helps

make sure to put it into neutral then try shifting it in. I'm not sure but it might be linkage or gears in t-case not wanting to interlock

I also need a little help. When i put mine in 4high or low I hear a clicking noise maybe every revolution of the tire. It goes away when Im at about 20mph but then I still feel a vibration. Also a bit of grinding when I turn the wheel at a slow speed. Im thinking front u joints but I would just like some knowledge on it before i start that.thanx j. 95 sport
