Not easily. The transmission output shaft has to be changed for a longer one with the speedo gear on it as well. And you'll need a different driveshaft. However, your t/case can be modified to stay in 2wd as long as the case isn't damaged.

Drive shaft might be longer as well? Best bet is a used xfer case. Got a pull-it-yourself junkyard anywhere near you? What munched on the xfer case?

You can rebuild the tcase pretty easily. The only special tool you will need is snap ring pliers. You can get the bearing/seal kit on Rock Auto for bout 100 dollars with another 50 for a chain.

At the very least and cheapest, you could lock it into 2wd and drive it until you have the time and money to fix it right. That's the whole meaning of my post.

Easier to do than try to convert stuff. Did the T-case grenade itself to where it wont work at all, or is it just not working in 4wd.
