Default 5 speed hack n tap help

i have read a lot of the sye threads on multiple forums and im having trouble with the information im getting. what i have read said that people have used an xj front drive shaft from an auto and it has worked fine for them. I aslo can't find much information on a 5 speed with an sye. My current set up is on my 2000 5 speed with a 3in lift but i will also be installing a shackle relocation kit as soon as it comes in. I had read that the 5 speed is shorter so im confused on what front drive shaft to use as the rear. If someone could please point me in the right direction, thanks.

Not sure how it would work out to what DS you will need. If you have a 2000 XJ it most likely has Low pinion front diff in it.

I got confused. I was thinking since it was a 2000 the front DS would be too short since it is lifted and a low pinion front diff.

actually the front shaft will be longer on a low pinion than a high pinion

That's true. I knew I have just seen quite a few 2000+ XJ's locally that have front DS problems once they lift.
