5spd xj's have a factory shift light?

My 95 had one, at first I thought it was cool then it just bugged me. Pulled the blub out no more arrow telling me to shift every 5mph.

Pff i can't even see mine, Steering wheel blocks my view of it.
I just listen to the engine note and shift according to that... which I'm sure is the way everyone here does it. Usually go to 2000 when i'm trying to be quiet, 2100-2800 when I'm cruising, and to about 3000-4000 when I'm accelerating on the highway.

That damn light freaked me out the first time I noticed it. I kept seeing a yellow light in the corner of my eye that would go away when I looked because I'd back off the gas, thinking the check engine light just tripped. Eventually saw what it was, and now happily ignore it.

Light here also ,Recently installed a vacuum gauge ad gas mileage increased by not shifting into 5th until higher speeeds
