Default 78 mm or 82 mm rotor height

Hey. Got a friend with a 1999 limited. She needs front rotors and pads. I find listings for 78mm and 82mm I dont really have time to get over there and measure, before i go over to change them out. Is there a way to tell without pulling the wheels off. Thanks

My understanding is that it was a mid year change.
The date of manufacture might help figure this out.
For instance if it is 11/98 thinking the older ones.
Get around 5/99 for a date thinking could go either way.
I retired out of a Napa and we would sell you both and tell you to bring back the ones you don't use so......
LOL.

Had a similar issue a few years back but later found that a previous owner had swapped out one of the front hubs and it did not match the other hub. So one of my front discs had a different depth than the other. I never noticed it as it actually worked, but caused a problem with centering the wheel which was picked up by a shop that I had doing a wheel balance later on. I guess the lesson with these old Jeeps is you may need to verify both sides and not just one side.

Thanks that link worked great. The outer rotor face to top of hat was 2 1/8 ...and the metal where the studs come through was thick so that means 78mm rotors
