So I have a 27 sine from a 94 in my xj. Can I just swap axle shafts and side gears or so I have to change other stuff as well to get to 29 splines

You can't Change from 27 to 29 without changing out the carrier and you'd still need 29 spline shafts. While your in there you might as well change your seals.

So I would need a new carrier. Well **** that then. I'm already geared and locked not going to mess with it

X2, run your setup till you have problems, swap 29 spline carrier/axles later if need be.

I just picked up a 29 spline 8.25, anyone running an Aussie in one. Would love to hear opinions.

I have an Aussie in mine. Clicks on every turn but it's normal obviously. Easy to drive on road with. And great offroad

We installed a PowerTrax No-Slip in ours 4 years ago......works perfect today, no clicking/ratcheting and those 2 black marks AND grin r still in the rear view mirror today as they were 4 years ago. Oh, did I mention an easy 2-3 hour install?

Couldn't be happier with mine. Install is stupid easy. Handles great on the road and won't lock through corners unless you're really on the gas.
