hmmm i haven't seen a lsd in action yet then........the camaro we have is a 02 and only has 40k miles on it, you wouldn't think they would be warn out yet. but it never lets one tire slip, always both. as for my jeep, its open as crap.........my dana in front though acts like an LSD half the time while mudding

well its a posi, lsd posi same thing. you can sit still and give it barely any gas and they will spin, like 2,000 rpm and they will both start barely turning. its has 450 HP so it has to have a LSD or it wouldn't go anywhere. Haha my jeep, once it hits mud in 2wd i can barely go anywhere, if i give it about a quarter gas and never let off it will go pretty far in 2wd but if i stop, then im probably not going to move without flooring it in drive and reverse back and forth. im going to put that dana 44 in and put a locker in it, probably front and back.

you may have to spin it a few times to get the posi to engage.
I thought about doing a Ford 9" swap in the rear but there's a few things about those that I really don't like. So i'm gonna be junkyard hunting once I get the money and find an old XJ D44, do a disc brake conversion and put a locker in that suckker. With that I'll hardly even need 4wd anymore

thats not necessarily true, unless the rear end has a spool or a locker...either one is a really bad idea on a street vehicle. read this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Limited_slip_differential

haha u should see it in the rain, its terrible, i've almost wrecked it twice, did a full 360 taking a corner doing 15mph. it stays in the garage on rainy days. i know its not always always engaged, but from what i see it doesnt let one spin more than the other. it could be locked all the time.....who knows.

my jeep is a one wheel wonder when it comes to slick rainy roads. i can only get the back to slide around if im doing at least 25mph and turn the front tires pretty hard with about half gas. If i try it sitting still and take a turn, i dont gain speed and just slowly turn.....with usually my right tire spinning (motor torques to the right so the right rear tire wants to spin the most) lol

what if you put it on jack stands, spin one tire and the other doesn't spin at all?
