Fuel pressure test
Coolant pressure test
Compression test
Vacuum test

You can rent all from an autoparts store. Rule out the internals of the motor so you can move on to bolt on parts. Good info to start with. Vacuum test will help with diagnosing rings and valves. All tests could be done inside of an hour and it's free.

Agreed with you and GMC. You do need to adjust a new TPS, and yea, for sure gap the plugs to .035 and make sure the cap and wires are clean and good.

Gas smell is gone and it runs OK? AS mentioned, the book and diagrams are wrong, #1 is at 5:00 as viewed from the side.

Ok I did recal the tps all though it is from autozone. I replaced the fuel pump because my pressure was not up to par when I tested it. I have not done a compression test or vacuum. I went this evening and looked stuff over one more time to make sure I didn't leave any unconnected and the intake exhaust bolts are loose I noticed like I can turn the outside two with my fingers. Think I will replace the gasket and tighten to specs. When I replaced the plugs I did it one at a time as well as plug wires. Gmc these Volvo 4 injectors are they easy to get ahold of? It does look as if some seeping has occurred off the fuel rail doesn't look bad but the injector seals maybe shot.

Just snug up your intake manifold bolts and see what happens.

There's a guy on here (Programbo) that sells them but he didn't have any ready when I needed them. I got mine off ebay(used by re-conditioned). Made a big difference. Here's the link:

Truly Plug and Play......No modifications required what so ever.

One of the best changes that I've ever made to my 88 Comanche Chief 4.0L.

Bosch #9454555 Injectors.

Yep-Plug and play. Good throttle response and no leakage at the body.
