88 xj fires but wont stay running.
so a month ago my jeep ended up getting swamped real bad, water up to my waist in the drivers seat and up to the windshield on the passenger side. here's what ive tried so far, new distributor, new/used ecu from an 88 auto cherokee (because when we pulled the org. apart, half a bottle of water came out), ive checked all the fuses and everything i can visually inspect is fine. im getting fuel, air, and spark. and as seen in the video it starts but wont run. the only idea i have left is the ignition control module might have shorted or something when it was underwater. it wasnt running when it went in, but before it got too deep i tried starting it, but she wouldnt start. also the CPS is fine. so im at a loss and cant figure out whats wrong with it, and my parents are hard on my *** to just junk her, but i dont want to yet, i have hope.
also, the headlights sometimes come on without the key being on or headlight switch being pulled, and the chirping box thing makes some ridiculous noise when it does it. it doesnt happen all the time, just sometimes.
any help is appreciated guys.
edit: oh and she runs off of starter fluid.

94 still got a ballast resistor? On the inner fender by the air cleaner I have a ceramic resistor for the fuel pump. Power from the front is reduced at the rear to the pump. It's only there to quiet the pump, you can bypass it or can it if you like.

Pull all the relays on the passenger side inner fender and clean their terminals with a wire brush. Reinstall them after spraying out their receptacles with a good contact cleaner.
