I'm stumped cuz last night it was running and seemed smoother on idle but today came home from work to check fuel pressure and couldn't get it at first so tried to start it and just crank and no start

Good voltage to the coil + terminal?
Years ago at Ford we used to splice a new ground wire in to the existing black, right to the battery. Leave the existing wire in place and tie in a new ground close to the module.
It's a horrible OE setup, the coil grounds through the ICM, which grounds to the distributor via a tiny screw, which grounds to the block by a friction fit, which in turn grounds through a dinky cable to the battery. Anything gets corroded or loose and the spark gets wimpy.

And the crowd cheers! . Well done!
Good job. Boy I just don't have the time now. Someday it would be nice to nail down the resistance readings there,...on that bad coil.
