Default 89 jeep cherokee front rotors.

So I purchased the ECCPP 513084 wheel hubs on Amazon. It says it was was compatible with my jeep. But the hub flange will not fit in the original rotors I had on my xj....does anyone know which rotors I need to buy.

thank you for the help.....

I come up with two different Moog part numbers for an 89, and I think that was the year the hub changed from rebuildable to non-rebuildable (the old style as I recall could be pressed apart and the bearing replaced). 513107 and 513084. Measure your old hub units, in addition to the flange being 0.4" bigger, the 513084 its also 0.22" taller. http://autoam.timken.com/techseries/...ifications.pdf

The Jeep parts list shows different numbers for the 4wd rotors.
1987-1989 J3251156
1990 52005000

The caliper brackets are the same, but it shows different caliper part numbers:
1987-1989
1990 2wd
1990 4wd

I'm guessing you might need to swap the calipers and the rotors.

Also shows the overlap in 1989

so I definitely purchased 1990 wheel hubs, when I took mine off they fell apart. So if I purchased a 1990 hub, can I just get the same compatible rotors?

I *think* so.

Looking at the Jeep parts lists, the part numbers for the calipers changed in 89. BUT, RockAuto shows the calipers and brake pads interchange across 1984-1992.

My best guess is that only the hub height and the rotor changed, and that the hat height on the 1990 rotors will be 0.22" taller to match the hub being taller. If you're buying locally, bring a tape measure to confirm height and flange width before paying.
