89 renix mpg
My 89 just seems like it's tanking fuel. I have replaced cap rotor, plugs, etc all the $hit I have it running great but I drive 11miles to work and 11miles home and it'll take me 1/4 tank like wtf that seems horrible to me what can I replace to get better gas milage. I have a 4in lift with 32s And I've replace a few things like nss cleaning, cap
rotor, plugs, ignition components etc... just want better gas mileage with out doing injectors And all that stuff
any advice would be great

I have the same set up on a 88 Mj. I get about 11 or so around city, and this past weekend I got 7mpg on a full tank of gas on the beach. not sure what I get on straight highway though, I would guess about 14...

Yea, that is definately bad mpg. last time I measured I drove about 165 miles and averaged something like 16 mpg.
I'm running 35" tires, 5.5" lift, 4:56 gears, auto, and a winch and winch bumper, plus i had a few hundred pounds of gear in the back for doing some tricky tree removal and a large mountain pass to go over.
Not really sure what could be your problem, but:
Are you sure your gauge is reading right?
Is it getting up to opperating temperature? I'm pretty sure the renix will get bad milage if it runs to cold.
Look into the O2 sensor and the exahaust system. If there manifold is cracked before the 02 sensor it screws with the mpg. This is because it thinks the engine is running lean since your exhaust gasses aren't reaching the sensor, so it richens it up.
MAP sensor working?
