Not if you haven't changed your speedo gear, or at least did the math to compensate for the increase in tire diameter. The larger the diameter of wheel, the fewer miles per hour you see on your gauge. Hence, the fewer miles in the same trip on your odometer. Larger tires = less rotations in a mile...its not that hard to understand!

This stuff probably helped my mpg, though I haven't checked again after going to 32's (I was getting 17+ mpg before):
Injectors - Ford yellows
Ground refresh
Sensor cleaning
Alignment
Tb and intake mani clean
Fixed exhaust manifold cracks
All fluids changed regularly

Hope this helps...

HO motor idea is out of the question??? Ok but fyi I did it to my MJ and gained a few horses and quite a few mpg. Not like they aren't under $150 at salvage yards around here anyways. I know an engine swap is kinda extreme but the way gas is getting these days, I'm sure it would pay for itself pretty quick

We just can't give you the magical answer. You need to diagnose the components on you Jeep. Did you test your 02 sensor like I suggested? Diagnose it, just don't throw parts at it, you'll only get frustrated. Do you have a repair manual? If so use it, if not buy one and use it. Good ones will have trouble shooting trees for things like this.

I don't understand how that will give me better fuel economy that will just show me what speed I'm going and I already know that

You have oversized tires 32" stated in your original post.

Have you regeared you differentials? Have you changed the odometer gear in your t-case? Or another measure to fix for the error that would be present due to the oversized tires?

If no, your odometer will read fewer miles than what you have traveled, thus throwing off your mpg calculations. It will show that you are getting worse mpg than what you actually are.

Have you actually calculated your mpg. Saying you travel X miles and burn through a 1/4 or 1/2 tank of gas is not the right way. What is you ACTUAL mpg. Do you know how to calculate it accurately?

Dude. Regear to a lower ratio, ease off the skinny pedal, check your fuel pump and filter( rent a fuel pressure tester), air up your tires to the right psi, change your air filter, check the quality of the gas, and get new injectors. Oh and check for exhaust leaks as well as your map sensor. If none of this works than HO swap! Oh and really change your speed gear so you don't get a ticket for speeding..
