D44 came with the tow package. See if you can find the link to the jeep site and get a list of options it came with. A few guys have done that, I'm sure someone has a link. Or you could measure it the old fashioned way by marking the tire and driveshaft and measuring the spins. Not sure exactly what to do on that, but someone will chime in. I remember my dad doin it with his 70 chevelle when I was about 10. I'm a little rusty on that subject.

You're telling me! For 3 months I drove my dad's XJ on 33s and I was lucky to hit 200 miles (calculated) before the needle hit E.

I feel ya. Rebuilt top end, engine runs like a Swiss watch. I'm getting between 11-14 and I drive 50 miles a day. 33 inch all terrains. Here's the thing, if you regear the speedo your shift points will change and mileage will get worse. The trams shifts according to speed. The biggest gain you will get is changing to 4.56 gears in the rear. That will also correct the speedo. I'm getting ready to throw an 8.8 in mine with 4.10 gears. That will help. Read the latest issue of jp. They have mileage tips and the article will reaffirm my post. I'm angry as hell spending 20-30$ a day on gas but I can't bring myself to sell my Cherokee after putting thousands of dollars and countless hours into it rebuilding damn near everything.

First thing would be checking for proper operation of sensors . Also what temps are you running. aAlso complete tune up air up tires. As for gearing if rear axle is open carrier jack up one rear tire posi do both mark tire and spin one full revolution counting how mant times rear yoke goes around double that gets you gearing for open carrier .Posi would be actual turns....http://www.lunghd.com/Tech_Articles/...iagnostics.htm
