Thanks for your help, do you know which wire to check for current on the switch there are about 7 or 8 wires running to it? Im sure theres power going to it because headlights work and switch for turning interior lights work.

Thanks freegdr, it looks like the power comes from that fuse to the switch then goes out to tail lights and licene plate light, also to clock light which also is not working, so Im still wondering if one of the solionoids or connections I cleaned under the hood feeds that fuse?

Duh! sorry , I now realize that the power is coming out of switch to the fuse, so I just have to figure out why its not coming out of the light switch, I thought the light switch was bad and replaced it but still have the same issue.

Whaddya mean, duh? I didn't know that til I looked it up in a factory wiring diagram!!
The connector on those switches gets wonky due to heat. Check the connector for voltage at the orange with tracer wire first.

Cruiser that exspression was me having a revelation not aimed at you.
I appreciate you and freegdr for your help. I pulled my insterment cluster so I could access the leads to the headlight switch. I turned on the headlights and have no power coming out of the switch to the orange with black tracer. What should I try next?
