91 running rough in drive, stalls and wontstart until cold
91 4.0 auto. Started to feel like it was a lose wheel as it would vibrate. Slipped it into N and that stops. However it was losing idle and stalling out. I cleaned the TB and the TPs. Also replaced fuel filter and pump. Ive seen a few threads on a sumilar issue but none reported the vibration which was at a constant frequencey at same load.
Ideaa? Probably not related but i changed out tge starter a few days before this came up.

The common fault for a "stalls and won't restart until engine cools down" is a bad CPS.
However in your case, I feel like there's more going on and it's probably transmission related. What is the condition of the ATF in your tranny?
