If it IS the NSS you can bypass it by simply cutting and looping the 2 black wires together to get going. All the switch does is complete the ground circuit for the starter motor. If you do this you will lose you backup lights until you fix it correctly but at least you`ll be able to get it started and drive. This is assuming it is the NSS.

Ah sorry missed that in my haste to help out as the NSS caused me a lot of trouble one time and left me stranded in a bad place due to my lack of knowing this bypass. But you can cut and loop the 2 black wires together without going under the vehicle as the plug for the NSS goes all the way up into the engine compartment and is right there next to the firewall on the right side.

I got the bolt out. Was strugglign with the lock pins on the washer. One was on the side and theres another two that are up top that i could not see so it was becoming difficult....was getting chewed up by mosquitos and then a storm hit so i had to call it a night. *sighs* I wanted to try the bypass just to see if it was indeed the problem im having and because im emberassed to be driving a chevy cavalier to work every day. But looking at the plug i could not find 2 black wires. Closest thing was one solid black wire and one white wire with a black stripe on it.
