My 1992 jeep cherokee limited won't run for more than a second, I've checked the cps and cam sensor while handcranking the motor to check that they are good, they are (should be). I'm getting really good fuel pressure. It'll start, rev to about 2k rpms, and then shutoff. Anyone able to point me in a direction?

 

What is handcranking the motor?
how did you check the CPS and Cam?

I take it you dont have the engine immobiliser.
Do you have an ASD relay?
Swap it with another good working relay to check

 

Checked the cps and cam by probing the signal wires while handcranking the motor with a breaker bar, asd relay is good and in there, and engine immobilizer?

 

i would check fuel rail pressure. could be a bad fuel pump. not too bad of a job on a 92.
