93 Rims on 97 XJ?
Well, my project goes sundently to an end after a guy crash to me, the insurance sais is too expensive to repair the dame so... I have to say bye to my 94 2.1TD and I'm looking after a '99 2.5TD or 4.0, whatever I find in better shape for a reasonable price.
Anyway, I'm selling the old one by parts, the only thing I want to keep is the rubbers and the rims, are those compatible or not?
Also... if anyone in Europe is looking for parts, I basically have a '93XJ complete, except the all metal parts on the front

The rims and tires will transfer fine. I had many bad experiences with my 98 2.5TD
and it cost a lot of money at the Jeep dealer to rebuild the engine. The 4.0 would
be a much better choice, unless you are a very good diesel mechanic.

Here there's a ton of 2.5TD, the main problem, as far as I know, is the faulty engine head, the total cost of replacing it is 700 euros more or less here, mounting the reinforced one.
I would preffer the 4.0, I'm not quite as good with the diesel as I'm with the gas engines, but the price is basically 70% more expensive in worst shape.

Sounds like you are aware of the heads cracking, the main problem
with the TD.
Whatever you decide to get, do get a factory repair manual and
a Jeep Parts catalog for it. If you get a 96 or newer, it will have OBDII
which can be a big help diagnosing problems. For that, you should
invest in a scanner that will at least read the codes and erase the
check engine light.
Here is a Jeep club site in Italy with some good information in English
and some in Italian. By the way, your English is very good.
