Default 93 vs 94 xj valve seals

Does anyone know why a 93 vs 94 have different valve seal part numbers?

Minor production differences between the '93 and '94 model year. I have seen a lot of stuff that has the year fitment listed as 94-96 (I have a 95 with an engine from a 94), but even so, in '94 there were no drivers side airbags (or at least these were optional - my Dad's 94 had none, my 95 has the airbag) and in 96 they added OBD2 so really, it's not shocking for 2 years to have slightly different part numbers.

What I do whenever I'm curious or concerned about part fitment etc is to check out the part numbers for both years, and compare across multiple parts sources (like does Autozone and Advance both agree on the differentiation of part numbers - do both stores list different numbers between the 2 different years, etc.). That usually clarifies things for me and allows me to make the appropriate part decisions.

It looks like 87-93 used one set, 94-2001 a different set. It could be an imperceptible size difference... when it comes down to it, this small difference could mean the difference between a proper sealing and a leaky one.

So it would be good to know the difference since there are so many various year heads being swapped around. All years should share the same intake/exhaust valves themselves.
