can I release pressure from Schrader valve and then im good to go or?

ok updates....
1. when i pushed in my schrader valve from sitting over night...it had a little bit of fuel come out but not spraying crazy or anything just poured out slowly and quit...no air noise, no gasping sounds etc... so what does that mean???
2. i have all new vacuum lines and ends on fuel pressure regulator...
3. turning the key on and off several times to "prime" the pump more made no difference...still hard to start....then idled rough.. its almost like its flooding out..
4. when i take off any of the hoses or lines coming from the air cleaner hose from intake to filter..no change in idle or engine etc...makes no difference.
any ideas?

I don't see that you've checked your OBD for codes. Don't worry about 12 and/or 55:
Pre- 97 Jeeps can be read by putting the key in the ignition and turn the key to run (not start), then off, then run, then off, then run (that's 3 runs and 2 offs). Leave the key in the run position. The check engine light will turn on for a few seconds, then turn off, then (sometimes after 20-30 seconds) start flashing. The flashes are counting out 2-digit trouble codes. Fast flashes count up each digit, with a longer pause between digits. 55 indicates the end of all codes. Once you've got your code list, consult the list below to see what they mean.

ok new updates....i been busy!
im showing codes 12 and 21
i took off throttle body, and cleaned that and the IAC...and those were both very very gummy and dirty...all clean now.
Put back on and it has a slight miss in it now that it didnt have before lol...dang it.
either way it idles a little better, still runs good other than new little tiny miss...
but still wont start without me touching the gas..
so basically im down to it hard starting...and once its started it idles rough till it clears out and does a little better....im assuming im flooding the plugs.
now i did a test to where when its running i pulled the IAC electrical plug, unhooked it and it was no change, kept on running like i did nothing...

Did you polish the CTS on the thermostat housing? It can send an improper signal to your PCM and in turn to your IAC. If you notice no difference you'll need a multi meter to test the IAC and CTS. You'll also need it to test your o2 sensor. I believe you only have one.

Does this mean its bad?
I will look and polish the TCS or CTS or whatever is in the thermostat housing...
I checked batter at home... 13.40 volts not running
14.00 charging... but haven't checked under load at parts store yet.

Best to do an ohms test on both your IAC and CTS.
On the IAC you've got 4 terminals. When measuring the outer 2 and the inner 2 you should read between 40-80 ohms.
On the CTS it should read 7k ohms cold and at operating temp it should read less than 1k.
When you get to the parts store you want them test your battery w/o a load and w/ a load, the charging system, the starter, and scan for codes.

jeep was put under load, battery tested, all checked out good, starter, battery, alternator, all in good working order, no issues with charging system etc.
ive drove it two days now to work and its not doing to bad... still rough idle at stop sign, going to fix vacuum leak under dash next...see if that helps anything out under hood.

Check the vacum line
hey new jeep owner here...I did a search on my issue but didn't come up with much in my year...
94 4.0 automatic 4x4, 175k miles, been sitting for 6 months or so... so I am getting the bugs worked out of it. I just bought it this week.
it seems to start hard, and I have to give it gas a little or floor it to get it to start like an old school carb... that shouldn't be the case on a 94 fuel injected engine im sure.
once it starts it idles a little low and sometime I have to pat the gas to keep it running...
now once its going down the road at 55-75 mph etc..it runs like a top, no miss, no issues...runs good and smooth. but when I come to a red light it almost dies or rough idle again... and if I go to a store park it, and when I come out its hard to start again...so doesn't matter if its cold or hot.
I have replaced fuel filter, run my first can of seafoam thru it, air filter, fixed a few vacuum leaks, hoses, etc... charged battery, changed oil, filter, and all this seems to make it a little better but still hard to start and idles a little rough.
could this be simply plugs? wires? they look like they have been replaced lately but who knows.
relay? fuel pump?
looking for things to try out..do...
I have noticed that when I turn the key in on position I do not hear anything, im assuming I need to hear a fuel pump buzzing? but I do nott...does nothing. does the relay control this? would it start if that was bad though?
thanks...
and I love my jeep so far!!
