thanks freegdr, I disconnected the battery because of the so many attempts to crank, so I trickle charged it. I tried this and the check engine light never came on.

 

Does it light up at all ?

Check engine light does not come on at all. It does work because I have seen it turn on momentarily prior to driving off. It has not started up since I charged the battery, so it has not been able to cycle.

 

Try starting for 10 seconds then try key on key off method. Vechicle does not need to run to set a code. If nothing still happen get a scanner checking this will tell you if its a sensor or not. Eliminating sensors can save alot of unneeded spent money on things its not. If it does have a set codes it gets you heading in the right direction.

Ok, so had to take it to a mechanic and dish out the bucks. The previous owner had some cables spliced from ecu too the distibutor and was a half *** job. Some sensors where getting poor voltage. So they rewired it, and she is running for now. I suspect my engine washing was the culprit, but will never know.....
