Default 95 Tailgate Trim Panel - Broken fastener tabs

So my tailgate trim panel has broken tabs/holders for the fastener to slide into. Has anyone else experienced this issue? What did you do to resolve it? Do I just need to screw the trim piece into the tailgate door with screws instead?

Got this problem myself. I used double sided tape for a bit but that eventually failed lol Haven't thought of a more permanent solution yet :/

Um, he's helping you, not hassling you. He's pointing out that you probably are not going to get a response from someone who has not been on this forum in two years.

There's a reason it's considered bad form to bring up zombie threads.
