96 Cherokee Classic - Drivers side front door will not open from the outside, works from the inside. Any ideas on what the problem might be?

Default Power locks

The Jeep does not have power locks, they are manual locks. Semper Fi USMC 84 - 88

had the same issue with two of my cherokees. pop the door panel off and wd40 all the linkage pretty good. if i remember correctly i think there's a little opening on the side of the door as well where you can get in and spray.

with one of my xj's the little metal stud on the inside of the button was worn down and wasn't making contact with what it needed to in order to engage the linkage. i ended up stacking a few dimes in there and it worked for a while until i hit nasty pot hole and the change was knocked loose

hopefully it's just a little stiff and needs a good spray
