'96 Cherokee fuse/electrical problem
Hello, I'm new here and to Jeeps so bear with me. I have a '96 Cherokee Sport and I'm having problems with my electrical system. It started about a month ago when my step-dad borrowed it. He said that all-of-a-sudden the dash lights, CB, and CD player shut off. Then when he pulled up at the gas station, got out, took the keys from the ignition that the CD player came back on . Well, now I don't have that problem, the CD player goes off when it's supposed to. My CB is wired into the fuse for the lighter and CD player, and it stays on with or without the key. Not only that, but my dash lights are out permanently from what I can tell. Any suggestions or thoughts to what the problem might be?

ok, i would deffinatly change where my cb is linked into i have a 95 cherokee sport and in the fuse box i have my cb plugged into a slot that either says extra or app,, take ur power wire and run a blue colored mle prong on it and plug it in there. my cb shuts off when i turn the ignition off. as far as the dash lights go i would pull all the fuses to make sure u dont have a blowen fuse. check to make sure that your headlight switch isnt turned all the way down which would turn the gauges lights off. let me know if anything changes.
