I was having some similar issues with my 94, the power part was the battery lead to the starter. it had gotten corroded so I spliced a new terminal connector and re installed works fine now. and the stalling part if it hasn't been solved yet, I read some post then skipped, mine turned out to be the plug going to the coil was bad, again spliced and reconnected and haven't had problems with the stalling anymore. <also make sure the coil wire going to the distributor isn't making contact with the heat shield, had an issue with that at one time. hope this can help someone

Alright, I know this sounds dumb, but when it does it again, go to the driver side under the hood. Grab the bundle of spaghetti run up the fender side and give it a shake. If it starts right back up after that, very carefully cut the harness open and the tape. Let the wires social distance a little bit. Like I said, sounds dumb as ****, but I was having the same problem with my 97, couldn't figure it out, broke down and brought it to the shop, changed some parts, thing worked great. Paid the guy, got my key, walked out and the ************ wouldn't start. Cut the harness open and moved the wires a bit and it started right up, never had a problem after that.

There's a ground wire at the rear of the engine near the firewall that broke on my 96 Cherokee that caused it to die while driving. I would check it first.

Also make sure the alternator is putting out consistent, stable voltage.

How did you repair it? I would replace that wire as far as the eye can see as well as anything associated with it.

Monitor fuel pressure while it's doing that.
