Default 96 cherokee Radio an dome light stopped working

Didn't drive it for a few weeks went to start it up everything is fine I put 2 new back speakers in and it just stopped working It was coming on and off here and there But now no power at all And I checked all fuse already what else could it be

could be a bad earth, broken wire, or dodgy connector.

if your radio is aftermarket (like mine)..it had a fuse in the back of the radio, which was blown

if no fuse is blown, chase 12V with a test light, and wiring diagram

I would check the fuse. Both of them run on the same fuse.

I had this problem after installing two new speakers in the doors. Turns out my battery was run down because someone left a light on even though the gauge was reading 11-12 volts with the engine off.

Moral of the story: Check the simple things first.
