@Roler
When the check engine light is on, it’s throwing a code for the crankshaft position sensor.
@cruiser54
Mine does not have a fuel pump ballast resistor
@awg
I’ve checked the cables and they seem to be fine. I’ll probably buy some new ones just to be certain. When the Jeep dies, it usually won’t start up again until I’ve pressed the valve on the fuel rail. At first, nothing comes out but after doing this a few times gas will start to come out and then the Jeep will start again. I tested the fuel pressure last week and the gauge fluctuated between 19 and 21.
By the way, this is the OP’s wife. Trying to help my hubby with replies since he’s always at work. If I’m not explaining things correctly, I apologize.

So 1st question, do you have a simple OBD2 code reader plugged in ?..how are you reding the code
You indicated a 1391 code, if this is the case, my understanding, the following may happen
Vehicle will start for 3 secs, if the computer does not get correct readings from certain critical sensors, it will shut down the ASD relay, so no FP or ignition
You will be able to tell if this is he case, take the lid off PDC and it says which relay is which, turn ignition on, ASD and FP relay will click on, place finger on ASD relay if it shuts down after 3 secs, you can feel it click, means you have a sensor issue
As @Dave51 mentioned, the cam or cranks sensor may be out of sync, I think someone had that, new cam sensor was slightly different or faulty
I would reinstall the OEM parts there, check OBD
Dave is the scope man though, he is going to recommend me what Hantek or Pico I should buy I am sure he wont mind ducking around and fixing it up for ya

I use Hantek 1008C. Couple other posters got Hantek 6022. Another poster got Abestop AT312G.
1008C has room for 8 channels but for what we use it for I can only run 3 before it locks up. 6022 has a better sampling rate. You need all the peripherals and that runs about 200 bucks.
I downloaded the phone app HScope to use with the 1008C to get a little more portability but haven't tried it out yet.
As we've touched on before, I'd take a serious look at Pico. Entry level is about $165:

To add: IMO the most channels that would need to be run simultaneously for the stuff that we do here would be 2: for CKS/CPS sync and fuel injectors. Spark you can do one at a time.

Hey, I've said I'd loan my stuff out to anyone (they pay postage and leave massive security deposit).

The one question I would have atm is "Do you see any real need for more than 2 channels?"
Bear with us OP, keeps your thread alive
