'96 no gauges, except OP and water gauge are permanently at max
on my '96 Limited, there appears to be no response at the gauges. They have pre-update gauges
The Water temp and Oil Pressure gauge are permanently pegged at max,( even with no key in ignition)
Where should I start diagnosing ?
Sounds like the sort of issue that would have happened before, but a search didnt seem to help

When did the problem start? Same setup as my 97. If they were working and just dropped out Id get looking at fuses. Or a service manual wiring diagram. Ive had my dash out a couple of times, but I dont recommend that at this point.

It was an under dash fuse, I suspected the OP sender might be short so I unplugged it
OP gauge stayed pegged at max till I plugged it back in
Its nearly impossible to read or make sense of the fuse number markings, so I tested them all with test light, using a mirror and torch to see up
apparently that fuse also runs the (non-working) overhead console
its my spare '96, that is 59 VINs off my daily driver, but i like to maintain it in perfect working order
