Default '96 XJ Backfiring through the throttle body

Having a issue with backfiring through the throttle body ( Popping Sound ) when I accelerate. Poor fuel mileage, power loss, and popping sounds when going down the road and sometimes at take off. Have read numerous post on this and have done everything imaginable from a do-it-yourself standpoint.

Parts I have changed trying to sort this out.....

Plugs, Wires, Dizzy Cap, Rotor Button, Camshaft position sensor, Crankshaft position sensor, Fuel injectors, Map Sensor, Throttle position sensor, Idle Air Control sensor, Coil Pack, O2 Sensors , Fuel Filter, PVC Elbow, removed & Cleaned throttle body, AND checked for vacuum leak.

Can Anyone shed light on this problem? It is driving me nuts, especially since this is my daily driver.

All help will be greatly appreciated...

And did you check your fuel pressure or timing?

Did this suddenly happen or after something was worked on?
1st thoughts are ignition timing and/or valve timing.
Next thought would be EGR stuck open.
If you haven't yet, do a compression check.

Just happened out of the blue while driving one day...... Grounds? Cat is good. Have not checked fuel pressure. Timing is automatically set by EMC ( So I've been told). Will check EGR Valve and do compression test and Fuel pressure test this week.
