96 XJ door won’t open
I know there’s a few posts but nothing seems quite like my issue. A couple days ago it was in the teens and the button froze a bit on the handle. The door opened one time after that. Since then it will not open, I’m not sure if it’s the lock or what. The button and the lever inside have no resistance, feels as if it’s locked even though I’ve worked the rod in the door and it feels like it’s working. If that makes any sense. I have a video of the mechanism inside the door I’ll attach.

Uh. When it wouldn't open, did you force it?
Well, at least you have the inside panel off. I had one like that with the panel in place. Couldn't open from the inside or outside. Getting that panel off with the door closed is a bear.. (HINT: Remove the rear seat, it will give you more room to work.)
Anyway, I suggest you use a good penetrating oil (not WD-40) and blast that thing. Looks like you might have already.
There is a child lock lever that can drive you nuts. That might be your problem.

Taking the dirt off ain't bad. Once you get it fixed, re-lube with white lithium grease.
