Not the little lens over the bulb but the 2' long plastic bar.
How is it attached to the lift gate?? 2000 4door.

Would like to avoid removing the interior trim if I don't need to

Hard to tell. The parts guide shows the parts here:

Looks like the cover snaps on the lamp housing? Or maybe held on by some adhesive? I don't see any fasteners. The lamp is screwed to the liftgate but accessed from under the cover.
