"97 Seat bracket bolt
Ref. '97 4-dr Sport, 4WD
DISCLAIMER: I'm not a great mechanical person, but I try to fix my own stuff when I can
The front seat bracket bolts are stripped and simply turning in the holes.
I've read a lot of solutions that say to run a bolt and big washer through the hole, but I'm not quite understanding how this would work. The front bolts enter the floorpan at almost a 90 degree angle through a 'box' that runs under the front of the seat.
What is the fix for this? Thanks in advance!

There is room in that box for you to put lock nut and run a bolt through the hole to secure the front of the front seat bracket. You can drill out the hole so you can use a non metric bolt if you like. if the bolts are stripped, you can get new bolts, but if the threads in the box are stripped, you need the locknut. the backnut on each seat bracket that is on the outside(closest to the road) does go through the floor.

Man, I'm watching YouTube vids and reading more posts but I CAN NOT visualize how I get into that 'box' to put a nut/bolt through? I'll have to crawl around of the floorboard a bit.
