97 XJ blend door actuator arm part #?
Hey all, longtime lurker here
Same old “vents blow to defrost” question but it’s not vacuum. The top actuator arm on the door unit has sheered off (inside of course) so I’m going to replace both upper and lower arms. My question is are the arms for my setup the same arms they sell for similar year TJs? I cannot for the life of me find part numbers for my XJ and they look extremely similar.
part:
17910.01
17910.02
i think I understand that 97 and 98 had some differences from other XJs post and prior but I’m struggling with no AC. If any of you guys have any suggestions or could point me in the right direction I would be greatly appreciative

I had the same problem. I got the part of a 2000 from the yard. I’m fairly sure it’s going break again at some point. I’m interested if this part fits. It seems like OEM xj number doesn’t crossover to the OEM Tj number. I entered the xj number into omix catalog and the number you posted came up. It seems it fits both xj and tj, but like you I’m not sure. The door on my Xj was just flopping around and wasn’t stuck. It was stuck at some point tho. Just make sure the door isn’t stuck before the new part is installed. That’s about all the help I can offer. I’m ordering both part numbers also. Can you post back and let the forum know how this works out on your 97. Hope it works out.

No. The other 2 mopar numbers I found were for the hot/ cold blend door. I guess one is cable operated and the other is electric. Those numbers showed no results. Hard to tell what fits what. Omix shows 2 numbers for the mopar number. I guess you saw Amazon has both. Easy to send back if they don’t work.
