it is a high pinion, did any hp axle come with crush style,
i have a 8.25 rear
so far im finding sets with install kits are 600 3.73 carrier for 75 on ebay , should i go with a certain brand for the gears , and the carriers are brands ive never herd of,
randys has the motive kits there shipping is way to high on everything still its 538

LP uses the crush sleeve, HP uses shims
Setting up gears is time-consuming, requires a few special tools (dial indicator, shop press, etc), and has the potential to go horribly horribly wrong if done incorrectly. That's why its expensive. It is entirely possible to do it yourself though, or maybe there is a local off-road club with a member who has the tools and/or will help you with it.

I recently had to change the pinion bearings on my Dana 30 HP. Like Ehall says, it was time consuming at best and frustrating as hell. I had to re-shim the depth and preload as the previous owner had not done it right. The work itself took me a whole weekend and the preparation, tools and learning was about a month.
You need a micrometer, backlash indicator, torque wrench, a good punch set (very useful), a seal driver set, FSM instructions on both axles, inch pound dial indicator wrench, and lots of patience. Oh, and a press too (though I managed to press my pinion bearings with a punch only but you would need it for the carriage bearings). And don't forget to use jam nuts (instead of the pinion nut) when testing the preload on the Dana 30, or else you risk ruining the pinion threads.

Rustys has gear sets for the D30/Chy 8.25 in 4.56 that I bought for under $500 with master install kits included this gear is the same ones that I use in my race cars up to 1500 HP using a trans brake.
Local 4x4 shop here charged me $200 per differential to install gears and lockers. Both lockers were Detroit Lockers so no extra charge if done at the same time.
If you have never installed gears before I suggest you have it done and not risk ruining the gears.

this video makes it look easy Motive Gear Ring & Pinion Install - YouTube
Google pinion depth setting and you will get much more detailed threads on how to do this.
Don't know if you will have a lift or will be working on your back, but it make a big difference. I took off and apart the Dana 30 and was working on a bench. Could not imagine how torturous doing this on your back would be. It will take much longer.
I used this type of inch/pound torque dial wrench.
Amazon.com: Presa 1/4-inch Drive Beam Style Torque Wrench, 0-60 Inch-Pound, 0-7 Newton Meter: Home Improvement
Good luck.

thx guys the stock 3.55 gears really are fine on the road , i wanna add front axle shafts and auto locker so i wanted to regear so i could use 4 low and shift back to 2wd on all the tight turns
i was also concerned with going down twisting trails with the front locker but i wont be on the gas but still in 4wd , so it should unlock and start clicking?

Lets get 2 things straight, 1 you are planning on re-gearing the front and rear differentials aren't you? Was confused by this post sounded like you only wanted to do the front with a 4.56 and a locker. You can't do that both have to be done at the same time, ie. reason 4x4 dealers sell gear sets for the differential combos like mine D30/Chy 8.25.
2 if your in 4L and going down hill if your front locker "should unlock and start clicking" ITS BROKEN! That is why you have them to go down hills slowly not using the brakes using either 4 L/H depending on the grade.
The strongest/best quality of the auto lockers are the full case ones like the Detroit Lockers I run FYI, and not noisy like a lunch box locker all the time.
