Default 98 Cherokee ac fan

Think I have short in the plug because when I turn on the ac the fan doesn’t come automatically but when I touch plug or wiggle it just a hair it’ll cut on!!! The motor is already up to operating temp and I’ve checked the fuses and relays for it and their good! I think the wires coming into the plug from the fan may have a short. I guess replace the whole fan or wire in a new plug from junkyard or eBay??

That's got nothing to do with a short. A short blows fuses or burns up wires. What you have is a loose connector. Might be from a bad motor pulling too much current and partially melting the connector.

I'd replace the fan and the connector. It's too much work getting in there to mess with half measures. And, no, I would not use a junkyard fan. You may be putting in something that's in worse shape.

Might find it online, but you'd be safe with a junkyard connector. It's easy to inspect visually.

Can you post a pic of it? That kind of thing is very often a stock connector that's readily available.

I’ll get pic up tonight when I get home would of done yesterday but my boy was driving it and one side the cross member fell down and caused everything to drop down. It broke an ear on the front driveshaft and all the holes where the member mounts are so rusted it barely has any thread to put one back up and 2 of the bushings are gone. I can fix the shaft but will I have to drill them out and tap to a bigger bolt and the bushings I guess I can order? I’ll post some pics up after I get home with it!!!
