I could use an answer stat...
What is the quickest/fastest method of replacing the serp belt on the 4.0L??? It's cold, and I really don't want to be out there longer than needed...

Mine uses the PS pump as an idler. I had that happen with the belt shards wrapped around the fan. That took me much longer to clean out than it did to replace the belt.

Ok, got it on.
Got it started.
Good news is since it do a small boil over (the overheating problem the night of the front brake job), I think I might have puked enough out to not screw the head or block up.
Now it's heating up to temp, maybe getting a little hot (but I am a little low), but the fans are working fine, and it doesn't go much past 210.
Exhaust looks ok (from what I can tell so far), but now I have no heat.
I do think the heater core is plugged, as my coolant is awful looking...So maybe I'll flush it. If that don't work, I can deal, I'm not messing with that core in the winter. Summer might even be iffy.

Being low on coolant is probably the reason that you are not getting heat (especially if you were getting it before). The heater core is the first part of the cooling system to have air get trapped in it. You have to make sure that you don't have any air trapped in the system. On the other hand, if your coolant looks like crap, its probably a good idea to flush the heater core out along with the rest of the system and put new coolant in to avoid any damage/further clogging up your core.
