My stepson totaled this one two months after I bought it for him.
Paid $3800 for it, insurance gave us $5400 for it and I bought it back for $200, no auction, straight from insurance co. Will have around $1500 in body work and parts. Have a guy who does a hell of a job on body work at a good price out of his own shop.

I was able to go out and look at the car again and the frame does not appear to be damaged, it seems to be mostly superficial. I was able to get some picture of the damage under the car as well, here. As it turns out the shock is broken, but the coil spring seems to be undamaged. The claim adjuster came out and declared the car a total loss today as well. So by early next week I should learn how much they will give me for the car and how much they will sell it back for.

The first picture is not your shock, it's the bumpstop. The jounce bumper (rubbery/foamy/plastic piece) has been knocked off.
Also, I wouldn't completely rule out frame damage just yet. You're going to have look a lot closer underneath to be able to determine that. If the force of the impact was enough to tear off the LCA axle mount, then your going to possibly have some bent steering parts, and maybe further damage to the axle. Also, all of that force is transmitted to the uniframe, so you probably won't know for sure if anything is bent or not until you start pulling off parts.
