99 and 97 motor swap.
what does it take to put a 99 factory 4.0 in a 97? the 97 has a factory 4.0 in it that is blown up and im just trying to find out what the range is for a factory swap to put another 4.0 back in it. would a 99 be a direct bolt in or what all would have to be changed to put a 99's 4.0 in a 97?

You can use the long block for sure,I am pretty sure you can use the controls also, meaning intake exhaust, flexplate etc. I would look at the coneectors and make sure the are the same, electrical connectors. The 99 has a different head but it should not be an issue.
