Default 99 Cherokee intermittent stalling

My 99 Cherokee xj 4.0 automatic keep having issues with it turning itself off randomly after 10 mins of driving.
it started just after we hit our first cold weather streakIt doesn't give any indication just turns off as if it suddenly ran out of gas. Won't start for a min then will crank like nothing was wrongI've tried getting a new battery and swapped out the cps sensor twice(first with a cheap 14 one of Amazon, it would crank but wouldn't idle just turn off If I wasn't giving it gas. The second time I got a ntk one from rock auto which refused to crank at all.) Previous owner had replaced it with a 20$ one from AutoZone so I thought that was the issue. Any help appreciated

When it gets to the point that it cranks and won't start, you have to check for what's missing. Usually it's either spark or fuel pressure.

Diagnostic fees at a shop are currently floating around $100-$150, so go get a fuel pressure gauge and a spark tester.

I'll try checking that. Also the jeep cranks and runs with the cps that came with the jeep but not with the 2 replacements I got. I've had to swap it back in so idk if I keep buying bad parts or I'm missing a step

Does it idle funny at all when it does run? or idles fine but dies after 10min for no reason?
I would definitely check your gas pressure at the rail, I bought a kit for this on amazon for 35$ worked great.

To me it sounds like a fuel issue man, I just replaced my fuel pump lol literally last Tuesday. I checked the fuel pressure at the rail and had 0 mine was completely gone, yours might be going out. Also replaced the IAC valve and cleaned the throttle body inside and cleaned the spark plugs up. Id definitely get the fuel pressure checked. Make sure you don't have a fuel filter either, could be that. Mine is a 99 and does not have one.

But Agreen is right. Start with the basics of fuel and spark.

Btw the IAC valve controls the air that goes into the throttle body and if it gets clogged or goes bad can cause dies or rough idles. At least that is what i was told.
