99 sticking door handle
the button on my driver side door has been sticking and as it gets colder it seems to hold in after being pressed and very slowly springs back out. Its begun doing this from late summer until now so its not just the cold.
Ive never had this issue with a vehicle so what is the recommended course of action, wd40, silicone spray, powerwasher......?

The spring behind the handle or the door latch is probably binding. Weak spring maybe? Pull the door panel off and see whats going on back there. Push the button as you watch the linkage. Clean everything as best you can and lube it with white lithium grease. Work the handle a couple times to work it in. Should be good to go after that.
