As the title says I have a 99 XJ and I have, of course, a problem with the center arm rest.

I have no latch parts on it! I've seen pictures of the original and aftermarket latches online, but I have no idea if the latch is the only part I'm missing. So, the latch is screwed onto the lid and it has a tang or some sort of hook that snaps over an edge in the console box. Does it just snap over the plastic of the box? Seems like there should be something a bit more robust on the box like a steel plate or whatever. Also, is there a ****-like part that goes onto the end of the latch that you would push to release the latch? What am I missing? Please educate me!

I dont think they all came with latches...my 01 has never latched, just a lid..will send a picture later today
