99 XJ Driveshaft & Transfer Case
So Monday morning, the rear driveshaft on my '99 Cherokee Sport decided that it no longer wanted to be friends with my rear axle. The U-joint snapped, and because I was driving at the time the shaft is now bent, and (we later found out) the rear-facing transfer case took exception to this and decided to break up from the driveshaft. My amazing Paint skills show where (on a 231 TC that isn't mine) it decided to break.
Needless to say, I'm now scrambling to try and find the parts to be able to get my XJ up and running again. It's my only vehicle, and I can only spend so many days borrowing one from various friends before it gets annoying trying to arrange vehicle swaps.
What years are interchangeable for my automatic transmission, 4DR, 4.0L 6-Cylinder XJ 4x4? Obviously, I'm trying to keep costs as low as possible.

I should mention that I do have a lift kit on the jeep, and bigger tires...so I'm taking a stab in the dark and that I'll probably need a slip yoke eliminator, as well. I'm actually not sure if it has one, which is probably why it snapped in the first place. This is what I'm considering, in lieu of a used driveshaft. Thoughts, or other suggestions for cheaper parts?

That still leaves me trying to track down a transfer case, though.

Just talked to the guy I bought the jeep from (who lifted it). No SYE needed, as it's only a 1.5" lift. Which makes it a ton cheaper
Shipping for the driveshaft from Rough Country is only $15.00

If it is stock (pic you posted is not a stock transfer case), then I'd suggest you hit up a junk yard. Shaft and transfer case output housing shouldn't cost much more than $50.

Hitting up a junk/salvage yard is exactly what I ended up doing, once I did a bit more digging to find out what would work on the jeep. Thanks!
