Took that ground apart. Cleaned it. Still nothing.

Here's my PCM. Pins don't look. corroded or anything.

Been researching PCM compatibility for an hour or so now and it still doesn't make much sense.

Any ideas on what to get another one from?

Jeep is a 99 XJ. 4.0/AW4/NP241

That Chrysler part number in that photo of the PCM decal is the correct part number (56041492AE) for your PCM. Per the parts catalog it shows version "AC" instead of "AE", so you have an updated PCM or it has dfferent features flashed into it.

There are several PCM vendors on Ebay. You'll just have to find one.

Do you have a factory installed Sentry Key Immobilizer System?

Looking at the photo of your engine bay I see some odd things. What's that white box mounted on the right fender? What are those loose wires, with fuse holder, laying there?

Do you have an aftermarket security system or remote start? These after market installations can cause no start, and other problems, if they go bad.

What exactly do you mean by "updated"? So just give one of these vendors on eBay that exact parts number and they'll ship me one that should work?

That "white box" is a 150 amp fuseholder for all my ignition/power wires. They're all upgraded to 4 gage and that's what I used as a fuse.

That white wire with a fuseholder is for my on board air.

No key immobilizer or any of that shenanigans installed.

Chrysler uses a two letter suffix on their part numbers to signify a drawing change level for the part. The basic part number remains the same but the letters step up in sequence, usually just the last letter. Yours went from "AC" to "AE" along the way. I have no idea what change(s) would have taken place in the PCM to cause that change to the letter suffix, but it would be a good idea to order a replacement PCM with that exact "AE" letter suffix.

The PCM vendor will probbly ask for your VIN number. They should lso be able to tell you what the AE means.
