Hey guys new to the forum
i have a 99 4.0 xj I recently put in a new motor since I abused the last one. It starts but when it gets to temp it starts to run rough and seems like it’s not taking gas or getting to much. I have replaced distributor (broke the two prongs sticking out to hold the bolt) , and 02 sensors since the last owner never had them, it ran fine before but figured it was time to purchase new ones and plug em back in. I checked for vac leaks and there’s none that I’m aware of. I checked with brake cleaner and no change of idle, but I’m throwing a code for it. Also have around 50psi at the fuel rail. Moneys getting tight so I really don’t want to just throw more parts if I don’t have to.

So I unplugged the 02 sensors for ****s and giggles just to see. Still starts rough I have to pump the peddle a few times to get it to start but once it starts it runs better when hot. So need to get better sensors and not the cheap ones. But still no explanation on rough start.
