I'm thinking it's the intake/exhaust gasket gone bad, or loose bolts, or both. Therefore causing a big misfire condition.
what im thinking too, oddly enough the sputtering has been greatly reduced and its only happening occasionally when driving now (3 sputters in the last hour) I will wait for it to cool, replace the O2 sensors, and the coil and plugs since these are already purchased. Anyone recommend a good intake/header gasket? I'll be taking it all off just to give it a good once over either way.

I would go with either OEM Mopar or the Fel-Pro one (I used this one mine with good results). Make sure to torque the bolts right, I forgot the ft-lbs offhand though.

I might have the torque specs that came with my replacement exhaust manifold(replaced 2 yrs ago). I'll update the thread with my findings.

well great news........ head's not cracked!! I still have the leak(havent changed the gasket yet) BUT I was able to find the problem.......... spark plug not even a fouled one.... when i pulled it out it there was 0 gap like it got pressed in when i put in the plugs, really odd but hey I'm no complaining I'm glad its running like a top now and gave it a new accel coil and new Taylor wires (in the mail) along with the new plugs.
