AAA Wouldn't Sell Me A Darned Battery
So my battery finally gave out after a week of extremely weak starts, the belt turns so slowly a snale is faster. Called AAA for a battery since I was stuck in a Target parking lot. Low and behold,"no we can't sell you a battery because your Jeep is known as a Battery Eater." Makes sense. Leave the interior lights a few hours and there goes my chances of starting. I've let the battery drain completely 3 too many times so I'll take the blame for the bad cell.
Anyhow, what batteries do you guys run?

i hear insterstate greentop batts are good, Theres always optimas as well and im currently running a rural king battery and i gotta say its holding up quite well if not abused. i think its a 2 or 3 year full warranty then 5 year limited warranty at a prorate and i got mine prorated after 2 years and 25 bucks later walked out with a brand new battery.

I don't know how deep cycling they are, but I know Optima yellow and red tops are pretty popular with the custom car scene for those with lots of aftermarket electronics.
I miss the days of living in AZ where I'd have a life-time full replacement warranty and the AZ sun would kill a 5yr battery in a year and a half. Just walk in with the warranty and walk out with a new one free of charge.

The yellow top is a bit much for the budget right now. Although I would like one. And the Interstate Green Tops are glass mat I think. They are meant for more deep cycle's and have better recovery from a depletion. However, they aren't easy to come by it looks like. I am thinking 3-4 years in the future, where will I be, and how easy will it be to get a replacement. As of right now Duralast Gold at $130 is a winner because autozone is close to my house so something does go wrong I can easily exchange it.
